What Turfline keeps about your agency and about the businesses it lists, who else handles it, and how to have it removed.
Your account
When you sign up we keep your name, your company's name, your email address and a hash of your password. To draft emails in your name we keep the sender details you enter: the name, the email address, the signature and the postal address every email must carry.
We keep the businesses assigned to you, each draft and what you did with it (approved, sent, rejected), so your queue and your monthly allowance are right. We use this to run the service and for nothing else, and we never sell it.
The businesses in a cell
The businesses come from the Places theme of the Overture Maps Foundation, an open dataset that leaves out personal information. We keep only places that publish an email: the business's name, category, town, county, website, phone and that email. We add no owner names, no personal phone numbers and nothing from any other source. Where the data comes from is on Data licences.
A place that leaves Overture's newest release is never offered again, and its email address is deleted. A business that opens the opt-out link in an email gets no further email through Turfline, from any agency, from that moment.
Who else handles it
- Stripe takes payments. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
- OpenAI writes the drafts. It receives the business's name, category and town and your sender name and signature, never an email address. It does not train on them, and Turfline asks it to keep nothing.
- An email provider delivers Turfline's own mail to you: the address check and the note that a batch is ready.
Turfline never sends email to the businesses. You send each one from your own mailbox, so your mail provider handles it under its own terms.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your choice of light or dark is kept in your browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics, so there is nothing to consent to.
How long it is kept
Your account's data stays while the account exists. Opt-outs are kept for good, because they are the list of addresses never to write to again. You can ask us to delete your account and its data, or a business can ask us to delete its address; the address joins the opt-outs so it is not added back.
